Please join us for this new American Musical made possible by the generous support of Coach Bruce and Brandy Pearl.
After sixty-seven years, life is about
to come full circle for Henry Stern.
Born in Westheim, Germany in 1932,
Heinz (Henry) was five years old
when his Jewish family escaped to
America. They were welcomed with
open arms to the small town of
Opelika, Alabama, but the war left
some missing pieces for Henry.
We'll Meet Again is a life-affirming
story inspired by the real life of Heinz
Stern, told with humor and seasoned
with the most popular music of the era. It's uniquely entertaining, uplifting and edifying - "a great beam of light
shining on the beauty and potential
of the American spirit."
William Lee Golden
and
The Goldens
There are few things more powerful than family harmony. Rarely has that been more evident than with William Lee Golden who, along with his talented sons, has created, William Lee Golden and The Goldens. From revered gospel classics to beloved country gems and iconic rock favorites, Golden leads his family through the songs that have been stepping-stones on his well-traveled musical journey. It all comes together as a rich sonic tapestry that fans will cherish.
Each year a little red truck pulls into Brewton with everything it takes to mount a full scale musical production…except the cast. That’s where the children of our community come in! On Monday, our children try out and are cast as the characters. By Saturday, they’ve gained character- the kind that really counts. Join us for this production of “The Secret Garden.”
Sean of the South
with
Three on a String
Sean Dietrich is an author, musician, and stand-up storyteller, known for his commentary on life in the American South. By age fifteen he was playing with adult bands in establishments his "foot-washing Baptist mother" would have preferred he avoided. Having lived through enough heartache, joy, embarrassment, love, and renewal for several lifetimes, Sean condenses our human failures and triumphs into stories that make the Southern heart resound. Join us for this performance of Sean of the South with Three on a String.
